Doing a deal with a member, paid him seven days ago - he has read my last two PM's asking for shipping confirmation but has not shipped or said when he will ship. Since classified rules are weak, how long should I wait before filing PP complaint against him? Other forums I give you ten business days, then we have a problem. Not very open and he is a long time member here.

Send him another message and give him a little more time.
The message shoult read polite

When my wife was having health problems I had several times where I was not able to get things out in a timely manner. Everybody buying from me here was very understanding and I appreciated that.

You never know what is holding him up, but he needs to answer you. You are more likely to get an answer back to a polite message if he is under stress than a rude message that adds stress

Just my opinion, for what it's worth

Bob, fully agree with you and yes I have been polite, but how hard is it to reply and tell me your intent? It is clear to me he has received the 2 PM's and has been on this site since. Not impatient as I done a ton of classified deals. This one is just annoying to me as I was hoping to receive the item early next week for a job I have or would like to complete.

Hope this works out for you but there is a history of buyers being **** upon on GJ classified purchases.

How about revealing his name?

I'd send them another message explaining that you need the item sooner than later for a specific job coming up and that is why you purchased it. If they can not deliver by the time that you need the item, then ask them to go ahead and refund your payment.

I've been selling **** online for almost 16 years and sometimes circumstances come up where I can not or do not ship as quickly as I think I should. I try to explain my situation when it happens, but a couple of times I have not been able to do so.

You always run the risk of something not shipping when you think it should when buying mail order or internet ordering. I ordered some parts in December for an item from a very reputable company that has been in business longer than I've been alive. They finally shipped the items out last week, but I had already purchased them somewhere else, made the repairs and moved on. They sent me a call tag and refund quickly, but still left a bad taste in my mouth for dealing with them in the future.

PayPal gives you 45 days to file as long as you did not send the money as a PayPal Gift. If you sent it as a gift, then you gave the money away and have no recourse with them.

Only 7 days, I wouldn't worry to much. When it gets past 15-20 days, then I'd start raising a stink.

I'd tell him you want shipping confirmation by end of business Monday. If he doesn't respond, he has been reading your PMs and visiting the site so he has no reason not to atleast answer you back, post his name up here so other members know "who" not to deal with and file your claim with PP.

So I got shipping confirmation Sunday, received item Tuesday, here are my comments

Kblazer87 was the seller, he was very responsive in the negotiation process, but then is not very informative after sale & receipt of money. Like did not say, rec'd payment will ship on x date. I have come to expect that and typically don't negotiate prior to purchase. Item arrived Tuesday, well packaged and better then described condition. So I really can't complain, I guess.
