Thanks for the input.

After all the votes are counted, a tool cart is lighter and more maneuverable, but a small roll cabinet does exactly the same job and has more drawers and usually a sturdier top work surface. Since I've got several roll cabinets from which to choose, all which I paid less than a HF cart, I'll just use one of them for a while.

I have a CM roller that I added side shelves on to hold spray cans. Recently, I bought an old A/V cart and turned it into a small, very easy-to-move cart. My friends say I have too much time on my hands...that is not exactly a problem.

Not a pro. However I tried several for home use before I ever found this site. They are a waste for home shop use they way they have developed. A basic top and bottom shelf cart is awesome. Grab the tools you expect you will need, throw them in the cart and roll them to where you are. Then you have a spot to put stuff while you work. The big carts make no sense to me. Just spread your stuff out in seperate places.

I've downsized to a 4 drawer HF cart for home use - I LOVE being able to push it out into the driveway and have everything I need right there. I like the open shelf on the bottom for keeping the bigger stuff and/or power tools off of the ground.

I work out of mine everyday; about 100 times more useful than my box
i roll it to where im working with what i need in it; can throw parts in the top til i sort them.
it keeps my most used tools in it and under it; a roller cab wouldnt be bad but id be sick of rolling it real fast
