Why VIM Double Magrail over Two Singles?

VIM came out with double magrails. I was excited for them and bought one in each size to try out but realize now that I might be better off with just singles.

It seems like you can put two singles next to eachother and have exactly the same setup as the double, except for not having access to the middle track that the double magrail allows.

I want to put my deep sockets behind my regular for each of finding them. It works great for 1/4 but in the 1/2 size once you get to 18mm or so, you can't fit two on a double magrail. But with two separate magails, I can space them apart 1/4" or more as needed to get the larger sockets to fit one behind the other.

Anyone have a use case where the double works better than two singles?

The double would be easier to move around as a unit than two singles, I guess.

If you have enough length, you could space out the larger sizes and stagger the deeps and shallows so they fit.

I was thinking for the 3/4" drive stuff but I still can't find the 3/4" studs on their website.

I am starting to think that the 3/4" sockets are looking pretty good running along the back of the two drawers where they currently live and leaving those $$$ in my wallet.

I still want to get some of the 3/4" studs to try on holding end wrenches like they show them but on two of the 20" single rails vs the one double 20"rail. My thought is.... I can set the single rails as far apart as I want vs being committed to having them be less than 2" apart on the new double rail.

Vim has the 3/4" pegs for the Magrail TL, the part number is MR-SD. Call them.

I got a triple for 1/4 drive you can fit three rows of 1/4 drive at least up to like 12mm or so and if you had singles you couldn’t do that because the triple gives you an extra row in the middle
