Why would kitchen faucets go to the quick connect method?

How much confidence or experience do yall have in this faucet quick connect hoses? It's going to the water sprayer but I don't think anything could top a threaded connection...

Have used several times. They are great. Easy to connect and disconnect if needed. Have never had a leak with one either.

Don't disagree with it being easier but easier isn't always better... I was just worried it would not take long before I started to have water works below my sink. Sounds like it holding up ok though. Thanks.

I just installed a sink yesterday and was thinking the same thing. Have used them before though and no leaks yet.

It's not under pressure when the faucet is off, so I would not worry it just makes the faucet a little more installer friendly.

To answer the OP's question;
Speed; Quick Connect Faucet sets can be I installed a lot faster, reducing labor costs for contractors.

Convenience; You don't need to be a skilled journeyman plumber to get it right; "They are so simple, almost anyone who can follow the directions in a comic book can do it.

Reliability; IMHO, they are almost, but not quite, impossible to get wrong. works fine every time.

It's a little fiddly to disconnect if you have to, but I have had no leaks. Even reused a few O-rings, just clean them well and a little swipe of plumber's grease on it and GTG.
