I'm just a DIYer, but the only time in my whole life I thought I could have
used one was changing the cambelt on my sisters car. I needed to access
a recessed bolt to remove the engine mount and had little clearance. I did
stop and think for about 15 seconds how I was going to get at that bolt,
and that's the only time the idea of a low profile pass through socket set actually
seemed like a good idea to me. Then 5 seconds after that I thought about
using a deep offset spanner and it worked a treat.... I won't be buying a set.
