Thanks again for the recommendations and additional measurements
We've established that there are many lifts out there that will easily accomodate your car. If we knew what constraints your garage has we could help more.
Sent from my garage.
You are correct. I was being pretty vague, and of course there are lifts out there that will fit. I am more questioning if my car will fit on the typical standard sized 4 post lift, without giving up my extra parking space.
For reference here are my overall limitations. I am willing to compromise, but if there is something that fits the bill out of the box that would be great.
This is an attached 2+1 garage with 11.5" ceilings
I originally planned for a 2 post lift, so I have 220 30amp service added during the build, but during the construction I was made aware that a partitioning wall between the 2 car bay and 1 car bay was required, and a 2 post will just eat up too much of my space. My 110 outlets are only 20 amp. I see some 4 post lifts draw over 20 amps on 110.
Despite my ceiling height I have a standard garage door height. I know I may do a high track/motor at some point, but if I could get a lift with column height of under 85" it would be ideal to not HAVE to pay that $ now.
If possible, I would like to be able to still park my truck in the garage. Its not a deal breaker, but it is very convenient. The idea would be to keep the lift tucked close to the wall when not in use, then roll it on the casters to a more centered location for weekend projects.
Cost:. I understand there are a lot of quality lifts out there, but I am trying to stay at or under $3k. I may be being cheap, but since I'm having to go 4 post I will need a bridge jack, and will be paying for a professional install. That puts me at almost $5k for a lift that will be operated a few times/month to lift a 3k lb car that hasnt touched the road in 4 years... I think I should be able to get hobby level quality that is safe for that.
The Triumph NSS-8SQ (I dont know the rules for linking non-sponsored products) checks a lot of the boxes, except the unknown if my car would clear, and it is 110v only with a motor that draws 23 amps. Reviews show that it can sometimes trip the 20amp breaker initial movement.
I've attached some pictures to give you a better idea of layout. The blue tape on the floor is the dimensions of the triumph lift I referenced. The truck could move right just a little, but yes it would be pretty tight.
Thanks again for taking the time!
