Hello, im new here!
We are increasing the size of our garage, let me tell you a couple of things
SEE ATTACHMENT
OLD/current GARAGE
Current dimensions: 6 x 3 (meters)
Roof: Flat roof
Floor: Concrete floor. MAYBE with piles underneath (i dont know for sure yet)
Walls: Bricks
NEW GARAGE
Dimensions: 6 x 4 (meters)
Roof: Gable Roof
Floor: Concrete floor with piles underneath
Walls: Wood
I have a couple of questions, since i am a newbie. I intend to do the construction myself because its a fun project. Only issue at this point is that i do not know much about foundations.
We want to keep the current concrete slab thats underneath the garage (6x3 meters)
We want to extend the concrete slab by 1 meter. But we dont want to spend too much money on the complete project, so to save time and money we want to avoid 2 extra piles underneath the extended part of the slab. But obviously we do not want the new garage to sink down on 1 side over the years
To avoid this, i plan it to do like this:
Tear the place down, except the long wall and one short wall (see attached drawing)
2 mounts on the corners of the old concrete slab with 2 wooden posts
Steel H-beam across the length (span is 6 meters)
Perpendicular 5 wooden beam of 4.2 meters with 1.2 meters cantilever
At the end of the cantilever, 5 wooden posts, resting on (adjustable) concrete foots. embedded in the ground.

Underneath each post i will add a wooden post of 3m long as a pile
The idea behind this is the entire structure rests on the existing floor, and a little bit on the 5 concrete foots.
I am pretty newbie when i comes to construction, but does this seem possible? Any things i am missing?
