Wifi Enabled Three Button Door Remote?

We have two large commercial style doors in our shop, they look like normal insulated garage doors but are 14.5t x 10w. These have the traditional three button commercial remotes that switch two chain drive commercial liftmasters. Does anyone know or recommend a system to go to wifi control of these doors?

Do you mean that you have those mounted as remote operators but you want something that you can put in the vehicle? Or do you mean that you want internet/Wifi access to those door operators?

We have Liftmaster gates at the school, and we have regular in-car garage door openers from Liftmaster that operate them.

Does it have to be WiFi (e.g you want to access over the internet)?

We were hoping for wireless access to the doors (not just from a car, but more along the lines of a MyQ system). Talked to a local vendor and the liftmaster folks said that MyQ isn't compatible and we'd need to replace the openers. It looks like the garagesmart stuff is the only option, but cost is a factor there as those units run around $300/each.

^ that's super helpful. i did talk to the local vendor for overhead door and they indicated the model that i have - MT5011E is a slightly older commercial unit that is not MyQ compatible and adding wifi compatibility would also be a concern as my doors don't have sensors. Without sensors you can't ensure the door won't close on someone or something when you're not in visual range. Even though we don't have kids, it is something to worry about if a car or pet ends up near the door.

I ended up getting a couple new remotes that work far better and near term that resolves my issues. Still doesn't let me confirm my garage doors are shut from a distance or let people in remotely, but it'll work. also added a wireless keypad for one of the doors too.

oh thats easy. just stick a crappy wifi cam in the shop pointed at the doors and open it up when you're curious.

I have a commercial Liftmaster opener on my roll-up garage door that came with a 3-button control. I wanted to add automation so I got a Meross unit with Apple Homekit automation. It works pretty well well but sometimes dropps the wifi network. I'd buy it again.

I just put one of these in and was surprised how well it works. Not sure if it will work on your commercial door, but it is easy to test. If you can jump across the two wires that come from the switch where they connect to the opener and the door opens then this will work. The images on amazon show this better than I can describe it.

@Seubs070 that device looks nice, it will need to use the provided app. My "winter project" is to finish some code for a raspberry pi project . It would "host" a basic web site so myfamily can authenticate and open garages, but for expected guests at the driveway gate they can connect to wifi and operate the gate (probably in trusted hours). it's these features, multiple doors, and remotely opening controls that drive me to a custom solution.

BTW as you add devices at work or at home - if possible have a "guest wifi" account on your router isolated from computers. The apps or vendors (hikvision?) may enjoy peeking around your network.

I have older jackshaft openers liftmaster with My Q . All three worked for three years . They also have the three push button and remotes . One of them will work with the app and then won’t. The other two have been flawless and never had a issue. Was told by My q my openers were not compatible also. I was told by the my q tech you can try to lie to the software on setup and some times it will take. For 28.00 each two of the doors have been working fine used daily. The third problem child is hit or miss.
