Wifi Thermostat for Garage

I am looking for a wifi thermostat for the gas (heat only) furnace in my unattached second garage. All I want to do is to be able to remotely turn the furnace on and off, and change set point temperature. I do not want a programmable thermostat. I also want to be able to control temperature down to near freezing. And the thermostat and display (if it has a display) needs to work at below freezing temps, i.e. down to 15F.

I want to control the garage furnace while I am in my house on house wifi. I have a Netgear EX7000 Extender in the unattached garage which is connected to the router in my house. The extender has a separate wifi in the garage.

Any suggestions on a good thermostat for my needs are appreciated.

I’m not aware of any WiFi thermostat that does not have programmable times and set points. But, just because it is programmable doesn’t mean you have to set a program.

The tricky part is some of them are going to have freeze protection that won’t let it get down to below freezing.

Which brings up a pretty valid concern - can your heat source tolerate below freezing operations?

I use sensi's in the house and the shop, but don't think they will let you set them below a certain point temp wise. But I don't want my below 50 in the winter. I have water in my shop and things I can't have freeze. I have all 3 sensi's programmed and accessible on my phone and can adjust them anywhere in the world. The shop one controls a 5 ton Goodman heat pump for the shop. I set it last winter to 55 degrees and turned it up on my phone before I go out there, this summer I've set it to 80 degrees and turn it down when I got out there. Has worked great for me.

Thanks to all who replied. I am installing a Modine PDP-150 unit heater and my understanding is that it will tolerate below freezing temperatures. ( I am replacing an old Kutrieb waste oil heater which has served me well for many years, but I am tired of the messy daily maintenance). My plan is to try and keep the garage just above freezing, however freezing is not a problem (other than ice on the floor) during winter as I only use a frostproof hydrant, and I drain the pressure washer). I do not want to have to keep the heat turned on just because the thermostat, or heater, will not function at low temps.

I have been using Ecobee for years in my house and formerly in a second residence. My problem with them has been an occasional 'pocket dial' unintentional remote command. My iPhone has a password protected and I have screen lock turned on, and somehow it still happens. I quit using it in the second residence because of the pocket dial issue.

The suggestion for the smart relay looks like it will be a good option for me. Thanks again
