Wiha Bit Ratchet Gameover?

I’ve had this Wiha 4mm bit set for around 7 years now and I noticed the ratchet felt bone dry when I went to use it.

The cover plate was slightly corroded onto the bit anvil so I had a difficult time removing it and ended up slamming in face down a bunch to open it up. Naturally all the internals were ejected across my garage never to be seem again.

I think I found all the parts minus a spring and was wondering if anyone knows what part I am missing/what the spring looks like I may be missing. This is an older model it appears and newer versions are slightly different internally.

Its a long shot but hoping to save this little handy tool.

Were you able to fix it?

I have one of those ratchets. Used once to install a skid plate and didn’t care for it. If you want it, we can probably work something out.

yes! I found the missing piece. It was a spring half inch long, got it all back together with some super lube and its back in service. Thanks for the offer and your kindness!

And here I was dismantling a ratchet with a similar mechanism.

I must ask, does the Wiha version also has a tiny cylindrical pin that goes between the tiny spring and the pawl?

The tiny pin in the image mounts vertically and holds the pawl in place.

Edit: It seems like the Wiha has the pin as an integral part of the pawl, while the version I have has the pin separate, and I have to align it with the hole in the pawl while wrestling the tiny spring.

If you reference the last picture where you can see the internals inside the ratchet; the peg that comes out of the Pawl slots into the selector, there is a hole in the selector such that the spring would be pressing on that peg on the pawl. The spring slots into that selector hole.
