I'm not canceling my order, I'll let drillspot and amazon work it out unless it drags out a while. It was scheduled to ship by today, we'll see what happens. If Drillspot looses some points on a supplier scorecard, I'd say they earned it by overpromising and under delivering.

Same here. No way will I cancel. It looks like they pulled the same thing with some Knipex pliers.

I believe Drill Spot is in violation of Amazon's terms of service by not having the physical product avail.

When Amazon runs out of product you can't order. What's wrong with these idiots to keep the ordering window open long after the inventory is depleted.

This company is run like a hobby vs a real business. A legitimate business should have a real time inventory system in place.

Feedback should be given here:

I think you have to request a cancellation through Amazon, these guys don't do anything to benefit you like, hmmmm, canceling the order on their end since they don't have inventory. :shocking:

But this would only apply if you got the email from them requesting you to request a cancellation through Amazon since they cannot fulfill the order.

[EDIT] I would also agree that they don't cancel because their are some metrics they have to maintain with Amazon.

I got the original e-mail, but then mine was automatically cancelled later. I didn't have to do it myself.

Finally got a response from Todd, but he outright lies about never requesting me to cancel the order.

Your order has been cancelled and set for refund direct with Amazon. We did not request that you cancel the order and have taken care of that for you. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

To top that off here's the cancelation notice from Amazon:
Wiha 53090 Screwdriver Set, Slotted and Phillips, Extra Heavy Duty, 5 Piece
Sold by Drill Spot
Cancel Reason: Technical Problem

I will never order anything from Drill Spot due to their outright lies and shady business practices :shocking:

BOOO HOO HOO, what a bunch of crybabies! Seriously guys. Never seen so many grown men bitching.

So they didnt full fill a ridiculously low priced item that they indeed did have in stock but ran out of, big deal. Somebody got the deal, you didnt. **** it up.

If you want the actual item, go to the store and pay full price and walk out with it. BAM, done. Pay full price online somewhere else. BAM done.

This is the internet, youre going to have a few experiences where clicking your mouse doesnt work exactly like real life. DEAL WITH IT.

If you dont get a refund in 30-60 days, well then that ***** and report it.

Nobody is crying that I've seen. With these hot deals, sometimes you get a great deal, and sometimes you don't, anyone should accept that. I only wanted these right now at a great price. That's the nature of the beast.

The digging on drill spot is because: 1) They should haven't have oversold themselves so much, they had bad data in their system or mismanaged it, and 2) They're not owning up to their mistake and clearing it up themselves. Asking the buyers to cancel themselves via Amazon is a second rate move.

This reminds me of what Dicks did with the Troy AR15 back on black friday. Offered it for sale below their cost, took backorders, and then did not deliver.
