I have Wera, Craftsman Pro, and a few SO but the Wiha Microfinish series 521/534 drivers are the BEST (for me anyway). No slip even when a little oil/grease finds its way on to the handle. I was lucky to get in on the Xmas deals they had a few years ago when phasing out the all black handles for the current purple/black handles.

The screwdriver's screwdriver:rocker:. To me, nothing else compares if you want a "go to" screw driver.

I like that one, but I do not like the $60 price tag. Is this the Williams version of that driver, and if so is it also USA? I assume they both use standard size bits like you would use in a drill? That's the biggest problem I have with my Klien and the new Milwaukee is just like it. Sure 6 bucks for a new bit set, but that 6 bucks gets me a lot more phillips and square bits when they put the drill bits on sale.

What I said before about not breaking a screwdriver tip does not apply to bits. I've used the klien, dewalt, milwaukee, & wera bits in the bit driver, and they all have about the same cost when you get down to it. Wera bits last longer but cost 10x, the milwaukee shockwave bits are surprisingly the best recently. The dewalts are right up there cause you can get so many for cheap, I stock up.

But still, screwdrivers & bit holders that's a whole different ballgame. I like the Wiha but not enough to pay that money when the Williams ratchets for the same price. I do not like the Wera with its 'cockpit' handle for the bits storage. The metal-gear Kobalt double drive is a better driver than a lot of folks give it credit for but it's bulky as a tradeoff. I want there to be a 'best' one and honestly, even if the snap on is, it's too pricey for someone who never ever sees the tool man.

The next one I buy has to be worth it. In my experience there isn't a perfect one, but I have not used either the williams or snap on. I've only played with the wera in the store. Someone want to turn me on to another?

how come noone has mentioned witte? i thought they were excellent... i still use the harbor freight green and orange set because i cant justify buying matcos rebranded witte drivers and have zero complaints to be honest but ive been thinking about pulling the trigger on a set of actual wittes, but in all seriousness are they not on par with the other drivers mentioned?

They can´t be that bad i guess.... otherwise companies like Matco, Cornwell, Klein and Stahlwille wouldn´t source their screwdrivers from them ;)

Well I appreciate all of the great advice in this post. I actually hadn't checked this post for a while and was pleasantly surprised with all the great responses. I'm probably most likely going with the Wiha brand. Thanks everyone!
