As a guy who's light years behind most of you I can usually only tell obvious quality from obvious junk, but ever since I received a set of Wiha T-handled allen keys as a McMaster Carr surprise I've been hooked. I have about 1000 metric socket head fasteners on my bike so this is by far my most used tool. All my other allen keys and sockets are USA made Craftsman and Harbor Freight, and having never touched a Snap On or other truck brand these are the first ones that made them seem like junk by comparison. I'm glad they're inexpensive.

When it comes to screwdrivers and the like, Wiha can't be beat. Great stuff. Welcome to the premium tool buying club. Your best bet is to buy a shredder and empty your wallet into it.

When you finally find something great good isn't good enough. That's why I started the TOPTUL hobby of mine. Their screwdrivers are great too and honestly that's not surprising as they patterned them after Wiha. I actually think the TOPTUL handles are more ergonomic than Wiha's but that's just a personal opinion. When you finally give up compromising and just use something demonstrably superior you never go back. This is true even for something as pedestrian as a screwdriver.

Good choice. Wiha is tops in insulated drivers and precision drivers IMHO. Not the most expensive (PB Swiss probably wins that category) but excellent fit, finish, feel for a moderate cost.

And as others have mentioned, getting into fine tools and caring about COO, or even reading Garage Journal, will impact your wallet. Wade carefully, but enjoy!

I like many of their products, but I no longer rate them an "A" anymore. Had too many fit & finish problems with some of their items. "B+" for sure. PB Swiss is a solid "A".
