How are they? I need a sae set for the basement. I have Klein metric and standard in the garage and craftsman cushioned grip metric in the basement which are the same as Klein but with colored grips. I tried looking on eBay for another craftsman set because they quit making them with the rubber grip.

so should I get Klein or Wiha?

I have the Wiha Extra Heavy Duty nut driver's and love them! These have the Hex bolster on them and feel very solid. The top of the handle has a size labeled on them. And you can't go wrong with Wiha grips.

I vote for Wiha.

I'm interested, too. I need a full set of metric and SAE and have been eyeing them. I was looking for Gearwrench also, but I'm guessing they don't make them anymore. I have found one actual set of Gearwrench and it is metric. Don't see them in the GW catalog either.

Xcelite...they don't have cushion grips, but I found new sets, US made, 3/16 to 9/16 in a blow molded case for <$30 on EBay...the SAE nut drivers have color coded handles, metric are black w/ the size printed on the side + end...

These aren't **** but they aren't junk, either:

They're also not "solid" in the shaft dept. They do have hollow shafts, just not the full length of the shaft, if I recall correctly. One of my set was very deep in the shaft hole, the others, hollow enough. How long a stud or bolt are people really dealing with sometimes? I wonder.

The cellulose handles aren't **** but the business end seems A-OK. Satin finish, made in America.

Also, Kleins:

Search for "nut drivers" at the HJE website, you'll see lots of individual items and some other brands' sets, too.

I have the Wiha Drive-Loc VI in SAE and Metric and I think they're great. Being able to adjust the length of the driver has proven to be pretty handy too.

I think to call klein a joke compared to wiha is a little far fetched...

After I used both I didn't think so. Klein is absolute meh - but then again, I hate their screwdrivers and don't really like their pliers either, so it's not a brand I hold in high regard.

I have the Craftsman SAE/Metric set, same in ratcheting GearWrench, wanted the flex Wiha set pretty bad, but not $100 bad, so I bought some VIM or something off ebay.

For the basement get the Craftsman set on sale for less than $20. Cripe dist has the GW for around $45 iirc and its still in stock.
