Anybody have any experience with these?

I'm buying a set of Bondhus hex sockets but amazon doesn't have their tamper torx in stock. However this Wiha set is in stock and is priced well. I've heard good things about their drivers from people on this board but nothing about their sockets that I can remember.

The bits are excellent on the wiha very hard and wears very well. And when the bits cams out they are easy to replace. The socket I am no longer sure about the socket. The wiha sockets I have are made my heyco in german. But some said the newer socket is source form taiwan.

Off the top of your head do you know if their bits are still German, Czech, or other?

No problem. I used snap on gold at work, and the wiha was still a better bit imho. I broke a T30 snap on, never broke a wiha T30. And the snap on gold is a very strong bit.

Yea I was looking at that SO set the other week at work. I think the dealer was still pushing the "buy the torx set, get two ratchets deal". As far as Snap-On goes, $230 for two dual 80's and a rail of torx is a killer deal but my wallet wasn't feeling up it.

I have some Wiha torx sockets and all their bits and drivers are tops. The only bad thing about the Wiha bit sockets is they are not imprinted with the bit size. AFAIK the sockets themselves have been Taiwan for several years. I bought some SK bit sockets as I really like the size printed on the socket and figure if the bits wear I will replace with Wiha bits.
