Does no one use the search function anymore? :headscrat

i get tired of everyone bitching about not using the search function. i have been a member for years and rarely use it. it is no secret to anyone here (management included) that seach doesn't work for ****.:dunno:

using that rationale about 95% of the threads here should not exist because it is pretty rare that somebody has not already asked the question.:willy_nil

When it's as generic as asking what screwdrivers to purchase, yeah, the search function does work...this topic has been covered to a ridiculous degree. There was no harshness in my response, just a simple inquisitive statement, wondering why people don't think to utilize it and find an answer for themselves, especially when not a lot of initial info is given.

Seems to me that you're the one doing all the bitching. And btw, I've been a member here for years too & can use the search function perfectly fine.

Like anything, the more information you have the better the decision making. The OP asked a ridiculously open ended, vague question and got the correct responses.

Maybe he was wondering what screwdriver to keep in his back pocket as a final defensive weapon for the zombie apocalypse?

I have the 30297 set previously mentioned, figured I wasn't going to want to beat on nice screwdrivers anyway so I didn't need the reinforcing. They've been perfect.

For the precision ones, all just a matter of what kind of screws you run into. Wiha makes some to cover some pretty weird bits :)

Geesh...Can't we all just get along? The OP asked a simple question, and some of us, instead of taking the time to post the words "Wera" or "Wiha", instead take even more time to post witty sayings or derogatories in an attempt to kick his *** around or make him feel incompetent. Everything on this forum has been posted multiple times and yes, all those answers can probably be found via the search function. This is a Forum. Some people enjoy some human interaction accompanying the answer to their question, even if they've already found the answer via Search. I am posting this for the sole reason to make my opinion public...to interact...to be noticed and acknowledged. It's the same exact reason why some of ya'll post your witticisms. So I guess we all have same things in common on the GJ Forum..to make our opinions public...to interact with other members...to be noticed and acknowledged. As far as the big picture is concerned, we're all bozos on this bus, so park your overly inflated egos outside the "garage" before you come in. If you don't have anything constructive to say to someone, don't say anything. In case you've forgotten, let me remind you that people have feelings, and in general, prefer to be treated with some dignity and respect. There's enough stress in our individual lives. People come to the GJ to help relieve that stress. They don't need anyone here adding to it. If you've had a bad day and need something to kick around, buy a punching bag or BOB and use it often. That's my free medical advise to ya'll for today.

Are all the German screwdrivers made in china now?

I don't think any of Wiha or Wera are currently made in china. I believe some are made in Germany and many are made in Eastern Europe (Czech Republic). (^to slow on this part^)

I have both Wera and Wiha drivers and while I think the Wera laser etched tips fit better, I have never had a problem with the Grey ACO Wiha's. I also have both of red handle sets shown above I do not care much for them. The P2 tips are two small to be of use (cam out continously) and I personnaly use a P2 90% of the time.

No, German screwdrivers are made in Germany :D

is that the same as them just calling their German food, food?

and as far as human interaction goes, annoying the **** out each other is a time honored method of friends interacting and bonding :)

Hm, can't say I've had any problem with the P1 or P2 tips, or the same size Wiha bits. Wera lasertips do seem to bite better, but also wear much faster.

I do have some of the purple-and-black Wiha screwdrivers (I think they're Microfinish, with the striking cap end), and they grab the same as the red-handled stuff.

The best way to search is go to google and google garage journal and then your question and you will be able to easily find topics that cover your questions.

What about the Felo?

I noticed they changed from "Made in Germany" to "Germany" but I emailed the retailed I bought them from and was told they are still made in Germany. He indicated the box they came in is marked. It always makes me pause when I see a change like that.

Skang,
Please get laid at your earliest opportunity. You may use the search function to facilitate this, but I suggest the local Oriental massage.

Wera is from cz, wiha from Germany, felo Germany I have all 3 brands. Wiha and felo has the hardest tips, follow by wera. And I compare them to craftsman pros and husky pros.
