I believe those would be 60 degree wrenches, maybe?
pretty sure you can buy them, minus the weld, for less than that.
I know I have some 1 1/2" to 2" range that I paid less than that for , but they weren't "hand made" like these were.:headscrat:headscrat

That's really funny, but the welds look pretty decent. If you need it, offer 15-20.

Damn, I have never seen a wrench modified like that, but I have seen the factory version. I wonder how well those welds would hold up under stress? "Necessity is the Mother of Invention." I have to respect the effort it took to make those.

Who knows?
I'm not even going to lie... I have thought about making a full set in both standard and metric for years. I know Snappy is king, but I'm in infrequent need of this style of wrench. I've also thought about thinning down my vast horde of extra wrenches and making them into a vast horde of stubby wrenches for various tool sets I keep in vehicles.

This picture might just get me off my **** to do it too!

Not that hard to do. Vanadium makes it harder to grind. Weld it up with E312-16( or E310-16 with a 300° to 500°F preheat) for stick. Er 312 for tig. Actually can weld any steel to any steel. I have done goofy stuff like this. " Necessity is a mother" as they say.

I'd bet money this guy is or was a heavy equipment mechanic, not too many other scenarios I can think of where I've needed an angle wrench that big.

The only problem is that the heat of welding has probably annealed a heat affected zone each side of the weld making the strength suspect.

That's what immediately came to mind. A heavy equipment mechanic working on hydraulic lines.

I'd buy them. I usually done work on hydraulic lines quite that big but they do come up. Had a 2" fitting just a couple months ago. However, a crowfoot was more ideal for that situation

As I recall most angle wrenches are shorter than combo wrenches of the same opening size. Thus, they are used in restricted environments where strength is not typically the main issue. So, you should be OK with those.
