I've had some Wilde pliers, but never any Wilde sockets. What are they like? Are or were they good quality, or just middle of the road. I'm assuming they weren't garbage grade. I've owned and used most all of the older brands of sockets out there, but I've just never dealt with Wilde. What about their wrenches and ratchets? Thanks.

I have never even seen a set, but if they are anything like the rest of their products I am sure they are just fine. I have no clue where you would buy them new, only here. http://www.harryepstein.com/index.htm

While in Iowa a week ago, I drove down to a surplus and salvage store in Moline on the river. They have alot of stuff. The husband of a secretary at our assessors office needed a 31 or 32 MM socket to remove a oil filter adapter on a RAV4. I did not have one but while in this surplus store I was looking at his shelves of sockets and bought one of each size, $3 for the two of them, both new. One was a Wilde, nice socket, decently thin walls, 12 pt. The other was a K-D socket and it too was a good quality socket.

My only experience with Wilde sockets.
