Was wondering why wilde tools dont get mentioned much here? I had some of their old stuff and thought it was super stout, so when i needed snap ring pliers for doing the big clips in eaton fuller trannys and saw they sold both straight and 90 degree pairs for less than just the 90's from snap on i bought them right up. They came and were exactly what i was looking for and were cheap for being USA made goodness. After that when i had to buy doubles and triples of stuff for running the road service truck i bought all the punches, chisels, and rolling head prybars from Wilde, once again they were all great for the money, no frills but solid industrial feeling tools. Anyone else still buy Wilde? Any must haves?

I think their striking cap pry bars they make for Craftsman, Lang, and others are pretty good. Their scrapers are also good.

I really like these pliers from Wilde:

Wilde makes a lot of tools for other brands, like most of Proto's pliers and some of Tekton's are Wilde made.

I think Wilde gets mentioned often with Epstein's and Epstein Day when the subject of US made tools comes up.

The other thing might be that once you have their pry bars, scrapers, punches & chisels, hose pick & cotter pin puller, you've probably gotten most if not all, of what's worth getting. :dunno:

Wilde makes lock ring pliers for Mac and SK. Scrapers and prybars for John Deere and pliers for Kubota with orange handles. I have the mentioned tools and as mentioned they are solid and functional tools that work good in a heavy duty setting

Pretty cool, I didn't know that they were the oem for that many other tools. They definitely don't have a big catalog, but everything they make seems to be made well and priced as cheap as import tools, it's a win-win for me.

Punches are available at menards, good prices, especially with the regular 11% off. I have a lot of them and like them, especially for the money.

I have a small pry bar, chisels, and magnetic pick up tool with knurling on the handle made by Wilde, all which are excellent quality tools. I picked up the cold chisel set at Menard’s. You won’t be disappointed with Wilde in my opinion.

This sums it up very well. It's also what I've got from them. Love it all.

I got my set when Menards did a closeout several years back, too.

I never heard of Wilde til I came to GJ. I remember years back in my quest for a quality nail set that wasn't made out of play-doh, I bought some made by Wilde at Menards and was impressed.

I thought the nail sets were my first Wilde tools, turns out I had a handful of Craftsman stuff made by them. No complaints here.

Someone posted recently that Menards is now offering Masterforce USA strike cap prybars, same as the Craftsman/Hyper Tough but with cool green plastic grips. Gonna have to check those out.

The local Auto Value in Fosston, Mn has Wilde pliers near the counter. Definitely My kind of store.

That's awesome, i definitely feel ya. I have a local welding supply that has open stock SK tools, but unfortunately they were bought out by some chain and are phasing out, yuck. I miss being able to buy quality over the counter.

I have two prybars from Wilde and 3 retaining ring pliers. If shipping cost from the US wasn't so prohibitive I would probably own every tool they make.
