Will 24k mini split be large enough?

My son and I put the condenser on the wall brackets today. I have company today so will likely connect lines tomorrow.

I meant to update this thread but have been way busy. The install went well and all is up and running. The refrigerant lines were a bit difficult to attach to the fittings because of the way they are packaged in the sleeve- that is the fittings at condenser are staggered on an angle but the lines are not staggered so one has to flex the big line to connect. It is meant to be flexed though as it is a braided line.

Performance wise, I've kept the inside temperature at minimum setting (62) and so far so good. We have had a couple of cold-snaps here and when that happens the unit maintains about 57. The room temperature reading is on a remote control which I place on opposite side of the room on waist level a cabinet so this assumes it is accurate. No ceiling fan installed yet. Even when super cold out the air handler puts out warmer air than my house regular HVAC unit. Currently, my 8x18' garage door isn't sealed well and although "insulated" it just has the Styrofoam panels in it - otherwise quite drafty. I also have to seal the corners of the pole barn when I get time.

You are going to need a couple of them before summer when the temp and the humidity are both approaching 90 !

So I originally planned for 2 fans and had it all spaced out - bought two 60" fans to mount with 4' downrods as I have scissor trusses. Right before ceiling install I re-measured and couldn't find a suitable location for the second fan without blades interfering with 2 post lift or being at the ends of the room.
I then decided to do a single ceiling fan mount and will start with the below single 60". The reviews say it moves tons of air so I'll try it before going with a larger fan:

I have 2 of these and they really blow, literally. They are priced very reasonably too.

Here is a picture of the fan.

And the outside condenser all connected - sorry for night time in the rain pic.

Very little more$ for a hyper heat minisplit, - mine is Mr Cool - - blows away about everything I saw in this thread about heat performance. A 24 K hyper heat minisplit will probably never need any assistance in your garage if you insulate that building like you said. You can always add another 1K unit if you need too. You would probably be shocked at what the 1K would do with your insulation specs in place.

In my 1800 sqft house build in KY I put in a 18K in a large bedroom to make the house livable while I tried to round up a HVAC contractor. It performed so well one day in the teens that I would only need perhaps less that one K to have kept the whole house comfortable.

I installed a 24K in the center of a fairly open floor plan and it does all the house.

We now use the bedroom one for sleeping cold in the summer.
Two minisplits are the cats meow, I am here to tell you. The central HVAC could do nothing to enhance the comfort of my house, wasted all that money on ductwork, wish I had known about the hyper heat minisplit before I did that. And energy use is drastically lower as well. Minisplits don't work in all situations but in a open space like in a well insulated garage
