As stated, and the well pump is a drilled well 240v pump. There is so much conflicting info out there and I cant get a straight answer.

Sure it would operate a 120v pump, but will it operate a 240V one?

Depends on your particular pump manufacturer and model.

Knowing that, you can search for the specs. They will tell you running amperage draw and starting current requirements. Starting current can be several times running current.

It may or may not work if you have a 1/2 hp 240v pump, but probably won’t work with a 3/4, 1, or larger hp pump.

Edit: it has to be a generator with 240 volt output to run any 240 volt motor, though.

No it will not run anything that requires 240v. It only makes single phase 120v.

Exactly the conflicting info I've already had, some saying yes maybe, others saying no. But keep it coming...

Can anyone recommend a make/model that WILL run a 240V well pump?

Pretty sure you need to upgrade to the eu7000. Was researching what would run my grinder pump which is 240v as well.
