Will an Amgo Rolling Bridge Jack Work on a Bendpak Lift?

I just got my Bendpak HDS-14LSX installed this week, and now I’m looking to “complete” this piece of equipment with a way to lift all 4 tires off the ground. The offerings from Bendpak including the RJ7Ws for $2,000 a piece are unfortunately far more expensive than I can justify.

I found Amgo’s J6H jacks available at a far more attractive price. My question is, will they work with my lift? Has anyone put an Amgo rolling bridge jack (or I guess any Amgo rail rolling accessories) on a Bendpak lift?

I looked at the specs and measurements available on Amgo’s website and compared them to information on Bendpak’s RJ7W and measurements I took on my lift. I believe they should work.

MY TAKEAWAYS:

My accessory rails are 87cm apart at min width and 123cm apart with the ramps pushed out to max width. The Amgo J6H shows 812-1302mm for wheel spacing 👍🏻

The top of the accessory rail to the top of my runways is about 14cm. Amgo shows the wheel to the top of the arm (no lift pad) as 173mm, so that should put the arms at ~33mm / 1.3in. drive over clearance without pads and ~68mm / 2.7in. with pads. (Bendpak’s RJ7W is 102mm / 4in. with pads.) 👍🏻

The 840-1357mm arm reach looks sufficient. (Bendpak’s RJ7W shows 1062-1426mm, but that’s outside edge of the pad, while Amgo is center of pad.) 👍🏻

The lift stroke is 230mm / 9.3in. (Bendpak’s RJ7W is 273.2mm / 10.76in.) Should be sufficient, right? 🤷‍♂️

I’m good with manual pump vs. air (I might actually prefer it to be honest) 👍🏻

Wheels profiles look similar, but I guess this is really the only place I could go wrong 🤷‍♂️

Anything I’m missing?

I’m hoping someone has already done this 😂

Suda,

I’ll be interested to know how it works out for you. I have a BendPak HD-9 with one air operated sliding Jack, I’d like to get another.

cheers,
BN

Today the two Amgo J6H Rolling bridge jacks I ordered arrived. I can now confirm they work with my Bendpak HDS-14LSX lift. Drive over clearance is about 1” with arms fully retracted and no pads installed, so it should accommodate just about anything.

The only potential downside I see is that because these jacks tuck so low in between my rails, some of the jack’s stroke is used up before I can extend the arms over my runways. This leaves me with ~6.5” of stroke from where I can extend the arms to the highest lock.

All in all I’m quite happy with my purchase. If you are interested in using these jacks, I’d recommend measuring your rail & runway heights and comparing them to the Amgo’s drawings / dimensions I that posted. I can only speak to my experience using them on my HDS-14LSX.

**EDIT**
I should probably mention: after price shopping, I purchased these through Heavy Lift Direct ( https://heavyliftdirect.com/products/amgo-j6h-rolling-jack ), taking advantage of their price match offer.

If you need a bit more height is changing out the wheels to a larger diameter out of the question?

lg
Not a bad idea. I would also have to add some metal under the side “tabs” as when it is loaded, the wheel springs compress and it rests on the solid “tabs”.

So far I’ve been able to get the wheels off the ground on the 3 vehicles I’ve had on it, I just have to be a little choosey with which pad extensions I use.

Is it really 251 lbs?
My arms, legs, and back felt like that seemed about right 😅

The label on the jacks says 238 lbs gross weight. Maybe that’s without the lift pads and set of extensions? Either way, somewhere in that neighborhood for sure.

I just received my BendPak HDS-14X, but haven't installed it yet. Just wondering what the "LS" stands for in your part number?
I bought two of the sliding jack platforms, I plan on just using bottle jacks on. I might even figure a way to put them on wheels. I pretty much own only trucks and SUV's so the Amgo's would probably not work. And since this is for personal and side business work only, I can't justify the expense of a rolling jack assembly.
Can't wait to install it! Concrete is scheduled for this week! So, two weeks later I will put it together, and two weeks after that I will shoot it down to the concrete.

The HDS-14LSX is one of the alignment lift versions of the HDS-14 series. https://www.bendpak.com/car-lifts/alignment-lifts/hds-14lsx/

I considered jack trays, but I could not justify the $442 price Bendpack sells them for. I felt like the Amgo rolling bridge jacks at just over double the price was a much better value for me.

Ok, I didn't see that version, but I wouldn't have use for the alignment version.

I bought two of the telescoping jack platforms at $195/ea. Since I made one purchase he gave me a pretty great deal on everything. I bought the lift, two platforms, 20 gal air evac oil drain, and a 3000lb trans jack. At the $442 I wouldn't have bought them either. I'm a welder so I would have made them. I only bought them at that price because material is expensive and I would have to wait until I installed it to see how I was going to build them. And as soon as it's installed I already have projects waiting to get on this lift. LOL I didn't want to waste any time. Stay safe!

Oh yeah, at $200 each that’s a totally different story 👍🏻 Did you order direct through Bendpak, or a local dealer?

I went through BendPak. I really didn't realize dealers were available until after I bought mine. I received a tool sales catalog in the mail and they had BendPak stuff in there. I hope I couldn't have gotten a cheaper price. LOL I was in a rush to buy before Sept 30th because I was told there will be a price increase. When I started researching these they were $2k less than when I purchased! So it's been under a tarp in my yard since mid Oct. Goin crazy waiting to put this thing together! LOL

Update, I do not like the Bend Pak jack platforms. The are about 5 1/2" below the ramp surface. I bought 6 ton bottle jacks and they are way too short. I don't want larger ones because they are heavier and no advantage. I bought some 5 x 8 tubing and will make my own. They won't be telescoping, but I have all trucks so I won't need to narrow my ramps. I will be selling these if anyone is interested. My trucks are just too high for those with bottle jacks.
