Will I Have a Problem Taking Sears Up on its "Warranty Forever?"

Attached are some photos of some Craftsman screwdrivers which were handed down to me when i moved out. I took them out of my truck's toolbox and tried using them to remove some small electronics screws. I ended up not being able to use these screwdrivers to remove anything because they are stripped. Anyways, do you think that I will have any problems having Sears replace them? I think that I will take the advice of a fellow Garage Journal member and find the equivalents of my stripped screwdrivers on the shelf and bring them to the counter first. What do you guys think?

What you do is go and find the new screwdrivers in the store and take both the new and the old up to the counter. Just tell them you need to warranty them. Shouldn't be any problem.

If you catch the right person they will let you upgrade on the exchange.
I have asked in the past, they will either say yes or no.

Yah you should have no problem with sear's and their warranty, use your ratchet as a hammer, your screwdriver's as pry bar's and chisels and so on.
I found a old gearwrench that someone tried welding the ratchet end back together after it broke, took it to sear's and they gave me a new one no problem. :)

I agree with the others, you should have no problems at all. (and don't let them give you any either!) They should take back any of their tools without any questions.

I've returned some tools found on some of my junkyard adventures that were so bad, I could hardly tell they were Craftsman! I remember 2 wrenches that looked similar to the Titanic in rust! :eyecrazy: Walked in with the junk and back out with shiny new tools. :rocker: I love it when I find Craftsman tools in the junkyard. Makes my day. :bounce:
