Will old 1.5” copper pipe fit into 1.25” rubber coupler?

The copper is 1.625 OD and the pipe is 1.660 OD, so the copper should slip into the coupling with no problem. Typical robber couplings like this are made to be a somewhat tight fit on the intended pipe, so likely a bit less than 1.660 ID. Probably a near perfect slip fit onto the copper.

It's all good. Was a perfect fit. I was gonna be in a terrible position crawlspace reaching for this drain and appreciate your expertise.
