Some pics of my 24'x24' pole shed.

It was built to keep snow off my old plowtruck and store yard toys etc.

Outside upright posts are 6"x6"x10', center upright posts are 6"x6"x14'. The beams are 6"X10"X16'(outside) and 6"X12X16'(ridgepole)

Rafters are 2"X6"'s and strapping is 2"X4".

I still have to do the fascia, stain the posts/beams, add the knee braces, etc but it keeps the snow/rain off for now.

I estimate it took about 100 hours of labour (all provided by good friends/family for beer and pizza) It is good to have a few buddies who like beer and don't mind heights!

Edit......
Total building costs were a little over $5k CAD, which is about double what I thought it would cost. This is normal for my projects.:lol_hitti

Here are some pictures......

Let me get this straight .... You spent $5k, on beer and pizza to build this.

Oh I get it now..., The $5K was for Building Supplies. LOL

In any event . You have a fine building and a very happy crew.

Crud if you spent 5K on pizza and beer I am willing to bet quite a few members here would have show up. That would be a lot of beer?

Sorry for the highjack...

:lol_hitti :lol_hitti I didn't notice how the text read when I wrote it, it was late.

Anyway, here is the namesake for the thread:beer:

Also, my 1983 CJ5 will be stored in the shed.

How much beer and pizza could you get for 5k? I estimate that I could get 500 ($5dollar pizzas) and about 1500 beers ($20 per 12 pack). That would make for a good road trip/barn raising!

You know, we see a lot of "Super Shops" around here.
I kind of like a "rough ans ready" place that just keeps out the snow and rain while we work.
