Well, there kinda already is one. I should have gotten a picture but today at the WalMart in Plainview, TX I saw a blue, late model F-150 pickup with white Hart branding all over. Had the website, the #doitwithHart hashtag and was just sitting in a far corner of the lot. Any ideas as to what they do with the truck?

Edited to add found Hart truck pic

Right, but where? Aren't they the Walmart house brand? They ride from China to Bentonville to Walmarts. Will there be Hart tools in other stores?

Right again. But right below that on the site they state "Only at Walmart". So (again) my question is what would the truck be doing?

The pro tool trucks come to your shop and deliver pro tools.

That blue truck at walmart, is it purely a $30k billboard? They surely won't be doing customer support on a $22 glue gun.

Marketing or product guys!; what's the mission of the blue truck?

As previously mentioned - Vendor / Product Rep vehicle.

Walmart’s Hart
In the early part of 2020, Walmart unveiled a brand-new tool line with more than 350 tools and products.

The retailer worked with Techtronic Industries, or TTI, and added hundreds more products this year, venturing into vacuums and cleaning products.

The innovation is the products are tied to a rechargeable battery system, but it’s also the retailer’s commitment to make this a DIY, cross-category brand to trust, and the retailer/supplier relationship.

You can buy a lot of trucks when you eliminate the middleman from your TTI purchasing.
Kinda pathetic how TTI has 70% of the homeowner market one way or another...

I thought for sure Hart was another "brand" of Walmart's like Great Value toilet paper. But they're a division of TTI that deals only to Walmart? Sweet deal for them, I guess. Thanks all for the responses.

I see red Milwaukee and yellow Dewalt F150s at Home Depot/Lowes stores a lot. Probably just merchandising it. Not like you will see a Dewalt/Milwaukee bread style truck at your local mechanic/body shop. Hmmmm, maybe Stanley/B&D will create Dewalt trucks to go and sell all their brands like Dewalt, Proto, Facom, Lenox, Lista, Mac Tools, etc..

Merchandisers and brand reps. Common with many brands. They aren’t anything like a Snap-on truck going shop to shop. Think of this more like a “district manager” each district will have their guy who looks after the stores who sell their product in that area.

Even Coca Cola and other companies outside of tools do it.

Yeah I didn't realize it was it's own brand. I figured it was a purely Walmart house brand sharing container space with dog food and vinyl work boots. It makes a lot more sense when there's another company that needs to audit and reorder.

Is this the same company who made the Popular Mechanics brand tools for Walmart back in like the 1990s? It seems it is because I think I remember seeing it on one of the old packages. If so they need to make that quality of tool again and I may consider buying it. Those were excellent tools I have a lot of them and collect them. Or maybe they make the modern absolutely junk Popular Mechanics brand tools sold at Ollies that are not the same as the old ones sold at Walmart. I can’t remember but I’ve seen the name on another package before.

Sweet deal until Walmart does to them what they have done to other suppliers. Force them to sell at a lower cost and force their hand.

If they refuse to lower pricing, Walmart will fill the shelves with stock from another supplier. They will either discount Hart stuff to get rid of it or RTV for a refund.

If it works for TTI, good I guess. I generally try to stay out of those stores. I did venture in after some prybars... thanks GJ.

Id say it was probably either a vendor rep vehicle or just something that was promotional.
Ive got some Hart tools and theyre not bad for the price but Hart isnt exactly a lifestyle brand, so I cant imagine someone doing that to their personal truck but hey, you never know.

If you're into construction, you will recognize the Hart name from their famous framing hammer. It's been around for years and it was designed for framers by framers. Over time the Hart line has expanded to include other implements of percussion.

It seems like a leap for them to get involved with Wallys in such a competitive market like cordless tools. And what's with the white tool housings? Nothing looks filthier than a white tool after a week on the truck. Remember, this worked for Sears and Craftsman so who knows?
