will this Craftsman compressor run h. freight blast cabinet???

will this run the floor model HF blast cabinet for light use? Blasting about 5 minutes at a time? I know it doesn't meet the requirements, but I was at a guys house last week and he was running his off an old C-man 25 gallon 4 horse compressor and said it worked, barely, but it worked.

I don't have the cash for a big gun and this being moveable is a HUGE plus to me. Will it get me by?

I would be blasting old bench vises and drill press parts.

Cabinet says it Requires a 5 HP compressor with minimum 12 CFM at 40-80 PSI

Will it run it? Yes, for very short periods of time. It will be a very frustrating experience for you.

Just make sure you have a comfortable chair near the blasting cabinet!

Try multitasking when you blast. Use the blaster until the pressure is

low enough to call for compressor to run. Work on your other project

while compressor is running, and then for an equal amount of time after

it stops to let it rest, before going back to the blaster. You will get

tired of waiting on the compressor...but it will work. Don't expect to

blast for more than a few minutes, at the most per duty cycle.
