Will this grinder work for Epoxy floor?

I go back and forth every week on what surface I'm going to do in my garage, but part of it has to do with having to grind the concrete. My garage itself is a tiny 18 x 18.5 60 year old slab with no cracks, but it does have a small pitted area where I think the previous owner had a car battery sitting. The surface is pretty hard and will require a grinding to get years of splatters and other things off the floor. My local rental yard and HD rent this style EDCO floor grinder. Will this work for me? Can I get this this size floor done in less than 4 hours? They charge about $150 for 4 hours of rental.

Right now I'm undecided, but will mostly likely use a 100% solids epoxy from one of GJ vendors.

Love the Falcon! Yes, the 10" edco pictured will work well. You should be able to tackle that space in 4 hours. Check if they will do the 4 hour rental if you get it later in the afternoon. Some will allow you to keep it overnight as long as you have it back by a specific time in the morning. It's a cheap way to buy more time

Thanks... that's a great idea on the late rental. My plan would be to have everything ready to go, so once it's off the truck I can just plug in and go. Also, the Sprint is a work in progress

IMHO, plan on working the grinder like a rented mule. That is from as soon as you can get it off your truck until you have to bring it back all tired, hungry and dripping with sweat early the next morning.

You can sleep and eat after the clock stops running on the grinder rental.

Go with tiles(True Lock HD, RaceDeck ect) Less work and less worry of it failing in a few years, cost will probably be close to the same. Even if it's a couple hundred more it's done in a few hours.

A good Armstrong brand torque wrench at that... I actually just finished torquing the lugnuts down and got lazy about putting everything away. Car was still lifted up a little on the quickjacks and wasn't ready for a drive.
