Will this nick in the router bit matter?

After removing the protective film from my new Whiteside router bit, I found it had this nick i it. Should I exchange it, or given where it is does it not matter?

I figured as much, but wasn't sure if somehow it would matter to balance or something like that given the rpm involved.

Thank you both.

Never had any experience with that problem but I don't think it will cause problems, unless it makes a small groove in the wood. That issue could be solved by a little file work on the nick.

I'll follow this thread with i/nterest/.

How would it make a groove in the wood? That area Never touches the wood. :lol_hitti

That would probably bug me too, but then I would remind myself, as the others already mentioned, that it's not the cutting edge, and that it shouldn't affect the balance of the bit even at very high RPM.
