Will this squeegee work for spreading out Low VOC Epoxy?

I recently won the Armorpoxy contest and I'm gathering supplies together to hopefully install the epoxy coating by next weekend. Although the kit came with a small rubber straight blade squeegee, I thought purchasing a wider 18" squeegee would help speed up the spreading of the Armorpoxy Low VOC waterbased epoxy coating. I ended purchasing this 18" squeegee, but just got it and its more of a foam neoprene type squeegee, over being a heavier duty rubber flat blade. Just wondering if I should even try it out, or reorder a better squeegee. Just for reference, this thing was pretty cheap at $5.99, so I figured I could throw it out, once it was used.

No, that type of squeegee is more for pushing water. You want a rigid rubber squeegee. Flat stiff. Look at the vendors here first, if you cant find one, check out Midwest Rake.

Hi, the epoxy you got is not as thick as a 100% solids epoxy, use the squeegee for the edges and then pour a ribbon and roll it out may work better. Squeegees can be a bit tricky to use on floors we find. Even with a squeegee you will need to roll to even it out.
