Williams Diamond W ? “ESCO” Socket

Had this socket a long time. Haven’t done much research on it yet.

Part number N6878. Also stamped USA.

1/2” drive.

Looks like an old Williams diamond W stamp.

Any ideas guys?

Sorry what I meant to say as what do you think it may mean? I'm wondering if it is some kind of stamping done by a company near you. I come across tools that were marked by GE but it's always done with a dremel

ESCO (as spelled in all caps) is a steel castings manufacturer from Portland, Oregon and chief competitor to the company I work for. They are far too small to be spending money on contract tools. It is possible the stamping was added by the company after buying it (the set).
