Pics showing the differences between USA and Tiawan made tools? I'm most interested in sockets, and then combo wrenches, but anything would be cool...

Thanks!

If you can look at the Epstein web-site , they have flags telling you which country the tool comes from. If my old memory is still working they have some nice pictures of Williams tools from the USA and From China.

Hope that helps you out.

. . . For many of the tools, the Williams and the Blue Point tools are identical, except the Williams version is considerably cheaper.

The price difference is probably due being hand delivered while they check the oil and clean the windshield. :D

Williams USA shallows and Williams Taiwan deeps (20mm deep was filled with a Blue Point, which is identical). The chroming is excellent on both, and have held up to daily use and abuse in a diesel shop.

My Taiwan sockets were from a mixed batch, some had chrome on the inside, some didn't (corresponding sockets either had Taiwan etched in, or on stickers).

Overall, I wouldn't have any complaints if all my sockets were Taiwan (especially for the price). USA sockets are identical in every way to Snap-On, while the Taiwan sockets are identical to Blue Points.
