Does anyone have any information on when this old beast was made? I believe it is pre “the superwrench”. b070c38440c5718524624883670f7d74.jpge8882d8f12f1b982ed4bd56a63c25da5.jpgcf768ec0d9b9ccc3e63e2f093599ec6d.jpg2325c2a9ea5eefe2825bdfcc5c27b064.jpg

I’m not really a Williams expert but it looks like a prewar to WW2 Williams Superior carbon steel DOE wrench to me. The carbon steel Superior line was a less expensive alternative to the Alloy Superrench line.

Are the openings 2" and 2-3/16"?

I'm no expert either, but I think the black enamel with that logo means a carbon steel wrench; Alloy Artifacts says that logo's from around 1924 to 1947, ish; and they have the end date for USS size markings at 1927... :dunno: so it's old.

I believe you guys are correct. I found some similar looking ones from the time period, but not this exact one online.
