Anyone have these?

I assume they are pretty much exactly the same as the Snap-on equivalent?

Thats pretty cool, I love the snapon black handles, but they're costly in the used market and usually beat up.

I have them, but not that exact set. I bought a 6pc slotted, and 6pc phillips set. I like them. Too bad that set doesn't have a pair of stubbies to go with it.

I have them, and I love them. You can get the stubbies and many other sizes as well.
My 6pc phillips set came with a stubby. The 6pc slotted did not. I see that the 6pc square shank slotted set does come with a stubby per JH Williams web site catalog. Other than that, it may be one has to order stubbies as a single which is kind of a pain. I'm talking about the hardhandle drivers only.

Do you know of any of the hard handle slotted sets that come with a stubby other than the square shanks? Of course, I bought what I saw available online at the time without looking at the JH Williams catalog. Kind of wished I had bought the square shanked slotted set now.

Here are some links:

The product number for the square shank hard handle stubby slotted is SDS-62. I couldn't find a round shank stubby.

Sweet thanks all for the info, may have to pick these up. I already have a snappy stubby, so no biggie on that.

I bought a set to keep in the road box, and my opinion is that they're shaped like the Snap On, they look like the Snap On, but they're not quite the same. The tips aren't shaped as nice, the shanks are in the handles a little crooked on some, they just don't have the fit and finish of the SO.

That being said, they're an excellent deal for the price, but I have to disagree with everyone who claims they're exactly the same. Maybe about 95% the same.

I bought the slotted and phillips separately, if I were to buy them again I would buy the set you pictured above. They are good.

I used the slotted on a 15 year old chainsaw muffler with a wrench on the hex bolster and the thing popped the screw right off, I was incredibly impressed.

I have a set of them in my work bag. They are 100% my favorite screwdrivers. I like them more than my Wera set that lives in my box. They have held up through what has created a pile of dead craftsmans that I need to go warranty. I want to get a second set for my other bag when the funds present themselves.

I have that set in my box along with a few Snap-On hard handles. They're very similar if not the same. Excellent screwdrivers!

i have them and honestly am not that impressed with the P2 profile, it just ***** to be honest. The others are fine. They also came with some fit & finish issues such as misaligned shafts in the handle. all in all i much prefer my Wiha's and Wera's.

+1

They are EXACTLY the same as the SO, minus the price. the SO have the same occasional misaligned shanks. when i got mine, i sat down and compared them to three different sets of SO - they are the same. the tips, the shanks, the handles, exactly. thankfully, my sets were all straight although i wouldn't hesitate to send 'em back if they weren't. they might not be SO prices, but they're not cheap either.

i believe toolsdelivered.com can get ANY of the williams catalog even if its not on their site, but you'd have to ask them to be sure.

As much as I like the feel of some of the softer handled screwdrivers, I definitely like the some good hard handled screwdrivers. I'd buy that Williams set if it weren't for what I read about the notable imperfections. I don't think any screwdriver set at anywhere near that price should have problems. Yeah I know sometimes it happens and if I could send them back for a 'good' one that's okay I guess, but if it's going to be replaced with another set that looks like factory seconds - well that's not good. There are plenty of other brands out there that appear to have more consistent quality, at a lesser price. That said though I might still end up getting a set at some point... now if only they had the awesome multi color options of green, orange etc :)

agree- mine were **** and I returned them. It's been said many times but they just can't seem to cut a phillips tip in the US (although I'm sure SO is fine). Wiha >> Williams in phillips screwdrivers IMO.

I have them and so far they've been my best set of screwdrivers, grip screws very securely, and I find them comfortable.

I stand by that post, the thread was titled "best budget screwdriver set" and paying $8+ for each screwdriver certainly isn't a budget screwdriver. In addition, I mentioned buying both sets and if I were to do it again I'd buy the set that the OP in this thread mentioned, (even restated that in my post above that you quoted).

Never did I say they were bad, just over kill for my needs.

I have a set and they are excellent drivers. None of the crookedness or poor build quality that others have noted. The phillips heads will hold a screw in any position easily. I recommend them!

Well you stated ......." Williams screwdrivers are very big, overbuilt, they are an industrial tool supply company. Not really what homeowners and mechanics need IMO. I have the Phillips and Flat head Williams sets, they are too big. Wish I wouldn't have bought them. "

When you say that it sure sounds like your unhappy with them unlike your posts in this thread.

I have wanted a set of snap-on screw drivers for a while, mostly because of the handle, what has put me off though is the fact that you can no longer get that style of black hard handle.

I have seen williams and CAT tools screwdrivers with the black hard handle but have never used any to get an idea on how they compare to the snap-on ones.

A detailed comparison between the phillips and flat screwdrivers from the three brands would be nice to see.

I've owned and and used nearly 20 or more sets of screwdrivers... i have never seen a set without a crooked shaft, poorly ground tip, chrome flaking, etc. I don't think any tools are immune to these problems. By the way... my Wera chisel drivers were the worst of the bunch, that pissed me off. They had the best handle i've ever seen.

I have the williams set and give it 5 stars. I purchased mine believing they are similar to the old style snap on hard handles which typically sell for big bucks. I would say they are excellent value and a great range of sizes, it is true they are industrial strength, but they are not all big sizes, the assortment you get includes philips 1,2,3 and smaller electronic sizes as well as a few flat head sizes ranging from small to big, all in all a great screwdriver set for the price paid.
