my williams screwdriver came today! i checked the williams website to make sure it was made in the usa and it is. even the 5 bits are usa. i think it is a better value than the snap on as a used so would cost as much as this did. i haven't touched a snap on one in many years so i don't know if they are the same.
got it on ebay.

I think it's been confirmed on here that it's the same. That seller also has the T-handle ratcheting screwdriver, which is the same as Snap on.

I've followed that seller for a while (ISC2001) - he's got a lot of sweet US Williams stuff - the hard handle screwdrivers and other good wrenches. He also has Bahco pliers and of course, other imported Williams stuff. I think ISC stands for industrial supply company

I have a quick question about that screwdriver.......

Does it have the little rectangular hole for the cir-clip that holds the reversing mechanism in place? It would be 180 degrees opposite of the picture you have shown there in the first post.

Not true. The handle design is not the same as the SO.

I have both the Snap-On and the Williams.
They have the same mechanism and cap, the main difference is the handle have 6 sides and the shaft is not knurled.

The Williams come raw in plastic bag with dark gray lettering.

The shaft is not the same either. The Williams is smooth, the SO is knurled for a better grip.

Those letters are supposed to be white.

The seller even shows the white letters in the stock photo.

That seller clearly lists the screwdriver as being new, but he sent you a used one. You should negative feedback his ***.

They're not supposed to be gray -- they're supposed to be white.

You may have gotten a Chinese knockoff.

Leave negative feedback.

obviously the handle is not the same, but apparently the mechanism is. The t-handles look identical

I've purchased a couple Williams ratchets from that seller before, and they were dropped shipped directly from JH Williams in Midland, GA.

My used one was drop shipped from china:lol_hitti
