Okay guys. Another mystery piece needing some creative minds to identify it.
Came from my collection this time.
What I can tell about it is:
Williams SPECIAL deep socket
Part # M-7322-1
3/8" Drive
6 point opening looks to be 5/8"
Possible Spark Plug Socket?
There is a small hole on the inside as if for holding a plug.

Outside of socket is threaded (right hand threads).

Any thoughts on this one?

Could be somebody put that socket in a lathe and turned it down and cut the thread for a special purpose or even cheap replacement for some part like a puller.

looks like a magneto puller for a small engine, Honda, Polaris, etc. I have many of these for various motrocycle and ATV's. Is it a Metric thread?

This would be my guess as well, probably part of factory supplied service tools.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I wanted to see what people had to say first. I did not mention that I found this with a pile of old Snap On A/C Clutch Hub puller parts. Some are the same A/C pullers/installers still sold today in the similar kit ACT1300B. I cannot say whether it had anything to do with those parts though. The pullers are threaded too but perhaps somebody just threw this in with them because it looked similar?
I don't see what a threaded socket has to do with them unless maybe for a specific vehicle application.
