Williams Tool Catalog

Does anybody know how I could get a Williams Tool catalog mailed to me? I've already contacted Snap On Industrial Brands, but they told me I could not receive one because I don't have an account with them.

Email them, put “catalog request” in the header, put your address and a thank you in the body, AND for the top line in the address, put a fictional female-owned business. “Nicole’s Services” etc. works every time.

That is a good catalog! Big , lots of good perusing. It has all the Snap On Industrial brands. Williams, Bahco, etc.

It is a good way to easily see all the offerings. EX- The wide array of wrench types offered by Williams.

I've seen some Williams blue blow molded 1/4" socket sets being offered on EBay for $40ish. I presume these are Taiwan made Williams but the sockets both short & deep appeared to have a really nice finish. One of the catalogues would be an interesting read.

Remember how industrial tools work. Someone from a factory (mill, plant, etc) orders 20+ of each tool to sell/issue to their millwrites and put the rest in the tool room for spares. The fact that they sell to wholesalers is a benefit to us schleps. Expecting them to sell piecemeal is pretty unrealistic.

I have a copy of that catalog. Lots of good stuff. We have a local branch of Applied Industrial Technologies and they are a Snap On industrial dealer. Also Anixter deals SO industrial.

Check with bearings supply wharehouses (Applied in my case), or possibly electrical supply companies, (Anixter, again for my locale).

That's true. Definitely a case where personal relationship counts. I can get price and availability checked on items from the catalog but we buy other products from the companies I mentioned and are on friendly terms with the sales staff.

Wright tool sent me a catalog on disc, perhaps Williams could supply this form of catalog.

Try Travers tool they sell Wright.
I compared the Wright Tool catalog to the SO and there was not anything that was not covered in SO.
Wright lists the stud removers but are same price as from SO

Can you just create an account? I've done that for places like Grainger that require an account. It just took a few minutes to make one and they didn't care that I was a "business of one" shipping to a residential address.

You can find the catalog online for download. I did this a few months ago. Dated March 2017 and 836 pages. Of course, if you want a paper version this won't help!

I recall it being difficult to find the entire catalog and don't recall where I got it from, but if you can't find it PM me and I can email it along.

I realize there is a PDF version, but I'd rather not spend hours on the computer looking at it. I'd much rather prefer a hard copy I can glance at as I choose, even if it will cost me money because I'm interested in Williams tools.

If i were a company i wouldn't just ship out 800 pg paper catalogs. Its expensive to ship and unless someone was in purchasing they really don't need them.

I'm an engineer and used to get all types of paper catalogs lining my desk shelves until the point that i was told the paper copies never contained the latest information and i would have to go on to complete my order. After that i tossed ALL my paper catalogs and never request paper catalogs when they are available. My desk is cleaner and I'm not really out anything.

PDF has its pros and cons. I realize it's a long shot to get a 830 page catalog, I just would've thought someone here would have access to the hard copy.

I didn't know Williams still had a paper catalog. I'm old fashion, because I like looking at things first in a catalog I can hold, then order it online. I'll have one sent to me at the plant.

Download the PDF and print out the pages You want to look over. I totally agree with Your preference of using a catalog instead of a computer, but the Corporate bean counters might frown upon the added catalog expenses.

I suppose I'll end up printing small sections of the PDF catalog out. So far, Klein and Wright have been the easiest to get a catalog from. Both companies have sent me a 350-400 pg color catalog to me within a week or two.

A few years ago I was going to buy a Williams tool box. I visited a local bearing and industrial supplier to get a quote, and jokingly asked if I could have the Williams/Bahco/Snap-on/CDI catalog he was showing me. He said "no problem!" Ended up buying a Gray Tools box somewhere else, and almost feel bad!


Where do you work, KDoug? I'm sure requesting one from an official sounding company email address would probably work, either yourself or through your boss if you don't have one!

I got my Williams catalog from an industrial supplier that kept a good stock of catalogs for the products they sell. Since then, they have discontinued carrying Williams because they said the tools were hard for them to get. One item was a single wrench they had on order for a customer for two months. They now stock Proto instead. I would suggest contacting your local industrial suppliers first and if there's none available locally, don't be too shy about contacting Williams directly.

I emailed Snap On Industrial a couple weeks ago asking for a catalog and sent them my address just like you said. Wasn't expecting to get a catalog, but it arrived in the mail today.
