Hi guys, I've I'm in need of a 6 pt deep socket set and was looking into Williams sockets made in USA. Found the online vendor called toolsdelivered.com and was extremely happy with prices. Before I order; are they a legit trustworthy site?? anyone used them?

I've ordered 3/8 and 1/4 sets and singles in the last few months from toolsdelivered.com and not had any issues. Quick delivery, too.

One 6pt set came with a single 12pt (3/8" 11mm deep) but no big deal. They're just like my SnapOns, less a couple of finish machining steps, at a fraction of the price.

I have bought a lot of Williams usa sockets last year, bought all of them thru amazon prime. Lots of other places had the part numbers but no stock available.

WOW those prices are excellent and right on par with GW's stuff. The next time I need to update any of my sets I'll need to come back here and try them out.

I've had two orders from toolsdelivered. Most of the tools in both orders were drop shipped direct from Williams' warehouse in Georgia anyways. One set I ordered was missing a socket and they promptly got the missing socket out with no hassle.

Guess my experience has not been quite as good as others'.

I ordered two impact sets and 24 individual sockets 1/3/16. Online process was fine, notifications sent timely, shipping was fairly quick (received package mid afternoon 1/8/16).

The order was missing two sockets and there was a defective socket (no retention ball hole) in one of the sets. No big deal, figured the two missing sockets were caused by they being on a second packing slip and just got missed. The defective socket? Who knows maybe the defect was missed because the sockets are black and it was hard to see whether the hole was there or not

I called after work, 5:25 Central time, but for some reason their hours weren't 8-5 Mountain time as stated on their voice mail, rather "8-sometime before 4:25" Mountain time. I filled out their online form and received an automated email regarding same and I also got a "human" email at 11:30 pm! Was told in that email that nothing could be done until Monday (1/11/16). Still no issues to this point, I can roll with the punches.

Well Monday, Tuesday, and half of Wednesday came and went with no update. I called and left a message, updated my online request, and even replied to the "human" email all requesting an update. Only the email generated any type of response. Which was wierd because it came from the same email address as the auto-generated one which specifically states it "does not accept replies". I just thought I would try it anyhow since it originally came from a human.

Turns out the two missing sockets weren't missing after all, they were on backorder at the warehouse. ****, I know they were listed as "In Stock" when I placed the order, just a small bit of misinformation there. They are trying to coordinate stock from the Williams warehouse in MO, so that can happen. The two missing sockets will be shipped when they are back in stock and I got notice this morning via UPS that the replacement for the defective socket it is on track for delivery tomorrow.

So in the long run, I had problems with my order and did not receive updates as to the status without having to request it in many forms. I am guessing all this could have been resolved with a two minute phone call rather than the reply, wait, reply etc. email circuit.

Will I buy form them again? Not entirely sure. Had there not been an issue with the order, I would be saying buy from them. But I did have problems and their resolution process has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Like Williams. I just bought a 3/4" impact set. As far as toolsdelivered goes I tried to buy a 3/4" SK set from them. It took them over a week to notify me that they didn't have it in stock and wouldn't be sending it. Then of corse I had to wait about 4 days to receive my money back.

I've bought from them, no actual issues.

Something I ordered that was listed as "in stock" ended up being out of stock/back-ordered, but, mistakes happen. Or, stock on that particular item while I was building my order was "1" and someone, somewhere, completed their order of the same item before I did.

Regarding stock availability and a large amount of online dealers:

These folks are drop shippers, not stocking dealers.

Tools Delivered is a drop shipper, at least for Williams stuff - so when they say something is "in stock" they're referring to the Williams shipping warehouse. They're relying on Williams' stock numbers on their website. Williams, like everyone, makes mistakes (or, see the stock quantity/order scenario above - Tools Delivered isn't the only Williams dealer operating like this - someone could have ordered from TD or any other dealer and reduced that stock quantity).

I can't speak to any communication issues, but, when dealing with Internet discount vendors, I'm not exactly expecting top tier customer service in the form of constant emails/updates/phone calls. I'm paying bottom-of-the-barrel prices (seriously, is anyone cheaper for Williams stuff?), not premium prices.

As long as I get the stuff I paid for, and someone answers an email within a couple of days if there's an issue, I'm usually pretty good.

well I just placed my order for a screwdriver set and some deep 6pt sockets. Confirmation on the purchase was quick so I'll see how the rest goes. For the price I can give them a lot of leeway if they do in fact lack customer service, so long as I receive my purchased product as described.
