I appreciate good warranty service as a courtesy to customers. The easier a company makes it the more likely I am to buy their products. Of all the manufacturers of quality tools, Williams leg of snap on is far and away the most hassle by every account I have heard. I have a few of their tools but it'd have to be a heck of a deal for me to bother with any more, especially new. Meanwhile Stanley and specifically proto have been completely reasonable and easy, hence they earn a couple thousand dollars of new purchases from me every year. Not much breaks, but when it does it's not hard to get right. If that ever changed I'd look elsewhere.
