Williams Wrenches

I may have missed them but I have been looking around and I can't find anything. I recently bought some Williams long reach combination wrenches off of ebay. It's an incomplete set and am looking to finish it out but can't find them anywhere. The wrenches have xoem and the size of the wrench. Where can I find them for sale? Are they a discontinued model and I am going to have to find them secondhand? These are my first decent set of wrenches as I am upgrading from HF tools.

Are these the newer Williams under the SnapOn umbrella, or the older Williams with the Vulcan label on the opposite side ?

If Williams/Vulcan, then the used market is your only source. There are a few sellers on eBay (one in Canada) that still have some NOS Williams/Vulcans in stock. Search "Williams XOEM", or "Williams metric".

If SnapOn/Williams, then you should be able to find new stock through online sources.

I've been slowly filling out a Williams/Vulcan metric set myself. Mostly through eBay.

On a side note, the older SAE Williams under TRW (3-line, underline logo) are longer than the same wrench under SnapOn's offerings (single line plain logo). It's more noticeable on the larger sizes over 1". Meanwhile, the metric Williams/Vulcan from the TRW era seem to be the same length as SnapOn versions. Curious.

These must be the newer ones from Snap on, doesn't say Vulcan anywhere on the wrench just says Williams USA and the size of the wrench. Uber nice and want to complete the set for sure.

Not JH Williams USA. That is how my pre SnapOn stuff is marked.

I just looked at the current SnapOn/ Williams logo. They no longer use the JH which preceded the name before SnapOn bought it. All of my Williams is marked JH Williams. My guess is that dates your stuff to the SnapOn era. Early SnapOn/ Williams was made in USA. Now some of it is made in Taiwan.

These say supertorque on them, I will have to look for them more. I really like them as my first real tool upgrade.

I think these are earlier Williams/SO wrenches. The XOEM part number leads me to believe this, as SO uses a very similar numbering system. Current USA Williams wrenches will not match those unfortunately. The current offerings in the smaller sizes are the Supercombos, which are very nice wrenches as well.

I spent the time to put together a Williams six point set in SAE as I work with a lot of older cars and trucks. Paid off big time yesterday as I needed a pipe on the 9/16's to break loose a waterpump bolt.
I honestly wasn't sure if the bolt head or the wrench was going to break first, but it gave ever so slowly eventually. That Williams wrench fit the bolt so snugly, I was never worried about rounding it off.
PS: They used good metal to make bolts in 1982, I've broken lug bolts using less force.

I made an error. My old Superwrenchs just say Williams, with the underline, inside a rectangle
