Hey guys, I have been looking on craigslist for a few months now trying to find a decent vise. I found a restored Wilton Bullet and was wondering if you guys can help me out in seeing if this is a good price to pay. I like this one due to the fact that it has a swivel base and the handle is straight.

Very nice vice in the ad. That price is very good compared to new. I like the fact that he says that he used epoxy paint. You will have that vice to hand down to your kids. that vice new lists for 359.00 at Norther tool. If you can offer him a bit less and he goes for it even better.

Suggestion: when shooting pictures of stuff like this, pose a ruler with the item so the buyer can easily judge size...

Nice looking vice, wish I could afford it!

Decent deal, especially because you don't have to pay for shipping. The only thing I don't like is that it does not the toolless posts for the swivel that make it easy to adjust. It looks like you would need to get a rachet or wrench out each time you want to move it.

Thanks guys, I'll think I'll stop by the sellers house and check it out.

Can I buy the swivel post and replace the tooless one that is installed? If so, where would one purchse that?

Wilton sells them. $35 approx. Vise has one on each side. Other one might be there. also rubber washers for each end of the handle.

ALERT This seller also has 2 baby bullets with Powerarm Jr. swivel bases.

Mine has the nuts on the swivel base instead of the newer style posts. I just keep a 3/4" box wrench on a little hook next to the vise so it's always right there. Beats spending $35.

Well I have a new toy sitting on the bench. I'll post some pics tomorrow. Has 4" jaws, opens 7.5" and weighs about 60 lbs or so.

And yes the same seller had 2 baby bullets also, one restored and looks exactly like the one i bought with a $300 price tag. The second was not restored was a green color for $200. Both looked really cool and I wanted one, but don't need to drop that kinda cash on a baby vice that I wouldnt use.
