OIG: Wilton still sells parts for a lot of their old vises. post up some pictures and also give us the width of the jaws when closed. also if you have the dynamic jaw out can you tell us the date on the key way under the slide that Wilton stamped on it?

Most likely that's a model 9450 from the 1960s-1970s (4.5" jaw width). The number 101033 should be on the main body, and 101032 should be on the dynamic jaw (part that moves) somewhere. I have seen a case where an old Wilton number like that got reused on something newer and totally different, but it seems uncommon.

I'm pretty certain Wilton doesn't carry that part any more, and you're probably just going to have to get lucky and find one used.

Can you describe what's wrong with it, and maybe post a picture or two? The vise experts here might have a solution.

Guessing your vise looks like this...you can see the 101032 on the dynamic jaw. I think the 101033 is on the other side of the main body, but I can't recall exactly.

Drives,

I talked to the Wilton parts guy about something similar a few months back, and if it's 1994 or earlier, they normally can't supply anything other than jaws, base/swivel lock parts and sometimes spindles and washers. :(

It obviously never hurts to try, and the nut should have a part number cast into it, so it would definitely be worth a call just in case.
