No markings anywhere saying "Wilton" or "Made is USA but it does have the "1750" cast into the body and it looks like a Wilton. What do you experienced Wilton folks say?

Thanks! KZ

KZ: yep you've got a Wilton made tradesman. is there a date stamp on the bottom of the slide (keyway)?

in the inset on the sides some of these had WILTON and since Wilton made these tradesmans for Snap on, John Deere and other makers one of those could have been there.

I like stripping and putting on BLO or if you like paint how about a GRABBER GREEN and i think Snap on sells these labels or maybe the members are buying the labels on Ebay.

nice find

They used stickers. I think the jury is still out on whether or not they are made in the USA if they aren't stamped USA.

Bobioz1.....Thanks!

Drivesitfar.....That green restoration vise is dope! That looks awesome....thanks for the tips.

ShadowRulZ...I thought that maybe after almost 40 years the sticker and the glue had separated. But, in 1979...Japan was running pretty strong and IMO, China was just getting on their feet...Tiawan.....not sure so I would think made in USA

As was said, it is a Wilton.. but not made in the USA. Wilton sent production overseas for a short period.
I have an offshore 1750 identical to yours as well.. still a very good vise.

Were there certain years of manufacture that are in question?

The new ones come in boxes with "made in USA" very clearly printed on them.
