Hello all,

I purchased a Wilton 1755 vise and am looking for a dust cap. I read on a similar post regarding a dust cap for the 1760 + model and there was a gentleman who mentioned using a BrakeBest Grease Cap RG04-100.

I am willing to try this, but there is not a close O'Reilly near me that has one in stock.

Can anyone confirm this or would anyone be able to help me find a similar cap that has worked for them?

Wilton's website mentions the 1750/1755/2050 all using the #9031121 cap but everywhere I look these are out of stock.

Thank you!

When I needed a dust cap for a Wilton, I went to my local parts store with the vise and tried on a few freeze plugs. It’s been a few years, but I recall paying a bit over one dollar. Don’t go to the store when they are busy.

The body of the 1760 is considerably bigger than the body on the 1750/1755 so I wouldn't assume the caps are the same size. All you can really do is measure the inner diameter of the tail cap assembly and then look for a freeze plug that's similar....a bit oversized and you can grind to fit, but it's a slow process.
