Wilton 20SA-2 Baby Bullet

I found a Wilton baby bullet yesterday with the raised anvil. It also has a plated screw and retainer that look original. Attached are pictures of the plated parts. I have seen a reference to a Wilton 20SA-2 bullet vise called a "radio or jewelers vise". I think mine may be a 20SA-2 but can't find anything further on this variant. Any one have any info on the 20SA-2 ?

Could you post a picture of the vise itself. I’ve seen Baby bullets on reypo Corp bases that appeared to have plated hardware.

This one was apparently mounted directly on a bench so no base. It had a coat of beige paint so I stripped it to bare metal and applied some sage green. I'll post pictures tomorrow after the second coat.

See I’m thinking it originally was on a reypo Corp base as beige was one of the colors those were painted when they were sold together as a unit.

It could be; but the beige paint job was in poor shape with less than 60% remaining and some of the machined surfaces on the slide, anvil and base also had traces of beige paint. I decided to strip and repaint in sage green. Attached are a few pictures as it looks now.

My baby bullet also has a plated screw and retainer, has the raised anvil, and came to me without a swivel base. I can't remember what color it was when I got it, it was many moons ago, before the arrival of GJ.

Brady, if it is any comfort, I did not beat you to it at the flea market. It was in a box of tools I bought at a yard sale.

Apologies for the “Late Reply”
Is this the swivel base you are referring to?

Came across this and fished it out of the TimeStream.
It does not seem to have a model number. At least not were it’s normally found.

It seems no one knows much about these. Even in this dedicated thread there is no timeline of production or other examples besides this now. These do not seem to be particularly rare. I don’t understand why information is so scarce.
Unless its out there and I simply have not found it yet.

I won’t hold my breath…

The raised anvil and "Chicago" and no date on the slide seems to point to a 1940's DOB.
