Wilton 646 Vise question

I picked up a pretty nice condition 646 today that the jaws won’t retract on. Got it apart and n the parts cleaner and see that there is a pin sheared that needs to be replaced. It seems to be clear of the part that rides in the threaded rod but is still in place in the frame of the vise. My question is is this piece threaded, or can I just take a ouch and drive this piece out? The parts I am talking about are shown as no. 4 on the diagram.
Thx in advance!

Ok, so I found out the pin is just a pin, not welded. Replaced the failed pin with a 1 1/2” concrete mail and it works perfectly. Not sure I’ll ever need a 6” jaw vise but it’s a keeper.
