That is really sweet.

Now I have to upgrade my 1765 to an 1780!

Very nice. :) Price sounds like it was a steal too. Not perfectly familiar with the Wilton setup, but I think you may have those pipe inserts fitted upside down, judging from the clearance on the one on the rear jaw.

Holy ****! That thing turned out really nice. That's **** like socks on a rooster. Perfect color match too, what brand/color did you use?

Wait, you didn't like the previous rust and multiple coats of paint? Great job orchidlane, that looks fantastic. The screwdriver really helps to put a perspective on just how large the vise really is.

That's **** like socks on a rooster.

:spit: What? I may have to quote you on that one, that is hilarious.

Where did you find the pipe jaws and what kind of money? I just picked up its little brother today at a swap meet, and it is missing 1 pipe jaw.
Thanks, Jim

I have a Wilton 1755 I flipped the jaws over, while they aren't perfectly aligned , they look the same as yours. I only paid 45 for so for the vise. I think the jaws were another 50 or so... They should last me until I do my frame off resto :)

I bought the pipe jaws from Wilton, I want to say they were around 55.00 for the pair with the clips.

Lets see some pictures, what did you have to pay ?

Paid $20.00, it was part of a good weekend of vise hunting. Got the 4 pictured for $58.00 total.
Thanks for the info on the pipe jaws, wonder if I can buy just 1?
Jim
