Been hunting one of these beasts for years! Finally got my hands on one. Wilton 800s. No dates on it (checked the key way and the spindle). Buttery smooth operation. Spent all day taking it apart and stripping decades of paint. Can’t decide to paint (and what color) or keep it bare and oiled. 238 pounds and 40” at full extension!

Nice! Congratulations on the 800. That's definitely on my short list of wants for my collection. I vote paint, just about any color looks great on the big wiltons.

Nice vise. You must have a pretty warm shop to be out there working with no clothes on.

Congrats 33. Man I want of those bad. I take it’s probably a 600 next to the monster? I’ve got a 600n and really have no complaints, but one of these days it’ll have a big brother too.

I’m thinking I got pretty blessed the other day. Guy was going to scrap this because it wasn’t functional and needed some parts! Wilton 800S.... Seized up so the jaws won’t open but I’m pretty stoked to get into it once this Arctic blast leaves Texas. Any idea on what these are worth? I know what they cost new but I can find very little on the vintage 800’s. Not interested in selling just want to know what it’s worth.
