Wilton 835 Bullet Vise

Greetings! I recently picked up this Wilton 835 bullet vise from a local estate sale, and thought I would share it here. The date stamp on the keyway shows 1-945, which I believe signifies January 1945 (correct me if I’m wrong).
It’s missing one of the mounting bolts, but the jaw still operates very well. I’m very tickled to get it. Is there any other information that someone more studied than I can provide about it?

You are not missing any factory parts. That vintage square headed bolt was used by the previous owner to hold the vise down to the bench. One hole on each side of the base is for either attaching it to a workbench or attaching it to a cast iron swivel base which was available from Wilton along with the vise when first purchased. You could buy those vises with or without a swivel base. All Wilton swivel bases do not fit all Wilton vises so if you want one, don’t just buy one without doing research first.
