Well,
I did manage to get the Wilton back together (almost) but I do need to find another set of pins for the back that holds the nut in place. Right now I am using a pair of cut to length clevis pins that are working OK. They give me enough to grab and remove if needed but I plan on getting a set of factory style pins and drill and tap them to be able to pull the pins later with a slide hammer
Apart at last after heating, beating and banging.
Blasted at last and no problems encountered other than the burr in the bore that the Dremel took care of
Primed and back in the garage for the night.
I'm not sure about the dark hunter green paint....
Back together again and I'm still not sure about the paint color but I will see if it grows on me. I got bored with all of the Verde Green Wilton's out there and decided to go this way but I might go back to basic grey.
I still need to make a new base as this one is a little thin (at least it is cleaned up a little and doesn't look near as bad as before) but that can wait for warmer days.
